I knéw it would be hard to continue working on my blogs during Summer Vacation, but I would have loved to be proven wrong, as I so often am. But noooo, thís turns out to be one of those rare times I’m proven right. And I feel like pulling my hair out, and screaming.
Kids keep stumbling into my office asking me things like: ‘Where’s the milk?’ or offering me intel like: ‘Pete is looking at me ‘funny’. I tell you, it is not funny! Can’t they see I am trying to work? Earning some money, so I can take them to the Great Big M?!
I keep thinking of Robert de Niro, in Taxi Driver asking in clear disbelief: ‘Are you talking to me?’ That’s how I feel when the kids talk to me, when clearly I am working.
How do you cope with the constant noise and interruptions?
