Anti Bucket List

anti-bucket list

It's become fashionable to create a bucket list.

A list of things you want to do before you kick the bucket.

Usually there are things on that list like:

  • Swimming with dolphins
  • Traveling through India with just a backpack
  • Making a trip in a hot air balloon
  • Getting in a cage with a pair of lions

Kate of Majestic Golden Rose created a linky with an anti bucket list. A list of things you néver want to do before you take your last breath.

My anti bucket list

I thought I'ld give it a go. And it was surprisingly easy. All I had to do was copy/paste!

  • Swimming with dolphins
  • Traveling through India with just a backpack
  • Making a trip in a hot air balloon
  • Getting in cage with a pair of lions
There you go!

I just wanna live until I die

Because like Clay Walker sings:

'I just wanna live until I die.'

I don't feel the need to travel or do stuff. I like the simple pleasures in life. I like having a hot cup of coffee in the morning. I like watching old Buffy the Vampire episodes on Friday night with my family while pigging out on popcorn.

And I like watching the beautiful colors of the sunset.

I don't need anything money can buy.

Well okay, except food of course.

Enjoy Clay Walker singing about just living your life!

  1. Love it!
Maybe I'm over thinking the whole "bucket list" idea, but I think anyone who makes such an elaborate "I want to do these things before I die" must be pretty unhappy in their life. I mean, how does Swimming with Dolphins become so important that Enjoying Coffee on the Deck at Sunset gets forgotten, or even worse *isn't* a happy event?

  2. This made me smile--I've seen another kind of "reverse bucket list" thing going around--where people write down some of their accomplishments and whatever life moments they're grateful to have had in a list--I think that can be cool because it helps with thankfulness when you can look at a list of the good things in your life.

  3. Saw this on the weekend no rules blog hop. I totally agree, a lot of the things people put on these lists aren't even realised. It's really a 'look how cool and adventurous I think I am' list. I say just enjoy your life, if you have an opportunity to swim with dolphins, great, but don't forget to enjoy the simple things. Diane @ Mrs U Makes
