What a difference a shoe makes!
Today I abandoned my trusty Birkenstocks in favor of a pair of shoes that actually have heels. I have to say, I feel kinda different! One might almost say I feel 'feminine'. Even my walk is different. Granted, my new walk is due to pain, but it really is quite elegant! And as my mom...
7 Ways to avoid looking like a Mom
A prophet is despised in his own country, and moms in their own family. Now that my eldest daughter has turned not-so-sweet sixteen, she has taken it upon herself to educate me on my looks. After careful study of my dressing habits, she presented me with her conclusion, and it was nót favorable. According to...
Could I live in the countryside without internet?
One of the 'perks' of living in the country is that I have no easy access to shops. That should help my bank account stay healthy! But there's a loophole, and it's called the internet. Online shopping in the country While looking at the beautiful countryside from why window, I type: 'amazon.com' and voila, lots...
Message from the universe
My credit card got too close to my mobile phone and doesn't work anymore. And when I got to my hairdresser's appointment at two thirty, it turned out I had to be there at twelve o'clock. Then, when I took a walk this afternoon, I got seriously lost in the area I've been living in...
How much perfume is too much?
Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Like too much perfume. Last week I visited some old friends, and we hugged. But as soon as I let go of my friend, I smelled it. I was literally drowning in her scent. Her scent was totally overpowering my scent. I even smelled it...
Feedback Junkie
I'm a feedback junkie. Which is unfortunate, because I'm a mom. Moms don't usually get much feedback, except when things go wrong. Like when you have the audacity to skip doing the laundry for óne day, then the feedback starts pouring in. 'Where are my socks, Mom?! Didn't you do my laundry?!' and 'Honey, I...

I have to say, as the little ones get older, you won't need to pull that stamp out as much. Me time get easier to have. Happy Easter. And sneak a chocolate bunny from a basket and slip away without anyone looking and enjoy.

I don't want to believe it's overrated Crystal. I think it's as important as oxygen.

I'd trade ME time for a NAP any day. Or does that fall under the me time category? Naps are a must-have, because I NEVER get enough sleep. The rest is gravy.
For me a nap is indeed the same thing : )
