I'm not sure you understand how terribly ill I am, coughcough
I found the perfect present for my hubby: Bonny Becker's children's book: The Sniffles for Bear (Bear and Mouse). It's like giving him a self-portrait! I'm so terribly ill Because whenever hubby gets sick, he acts like Bear. Whining and acting like he's on death's door. And just like Bear, he doesn't really wánt to...
The love of a good wife
Today my husband came home, and whispered in the tones of a dying man: 'I don't feel so well… I may have caught the flu.' My first thought was: 'Tough! You'll just have to keep going, just like I do!' But then it hit me: if hubby was home, then I could make a break...
Annoying husbands during Summer Vacation: 'Sómeone didn't do the housework!'
Did you know that after Summer Vacation divorce rates rise? I'm not surprised. No matter how much you love your so called better half, it can be quite challenging to be around each 24/7. Yesterday my husband started his vacation. It's been one day. And already I feel like screaming. Annoying husband Let me give...
Say something nice?
I was starving for some positive reinforcement, so against my better judgement I asked hubby: 'Please say something nice to me?' In my defense: it had been a very long day, and the kids had been awful! Hubby immediately got that familiar deer-in-the-headlight look, while I waited patiently. Minutes went by, and the silence got...
Bird watching
Since I read Sally Hinchcliffe's exciting thriller about birdwatching, Out of a clear sky, I like to think of myself as a bit of a birdwatcher! So when I looked out the living room window, and spotted a rather exotic looking bird perching in the apple tree, my heart skipped a few beats in excitement!...
How to get your husband to help around the house more
Most men nowadays help around the house these days. After all, two feminist waves have left their mark! It's hard to stay a male chauvinist male pig with so much pressure nót to be. However there are still some men around who simply don't séé it. They may not even realize you'ld appreciate some help...
Awww, sounds like a lovely photo. Don't be saddened by her comment, martial relationships change as children come along. The love is strong, dutiful and romantic but not as young love. I believe children know can see love and know it, in all its forms :0)
I agree that relationships change but it still can be strong and romantic if we work at it.
At least the two of you are still the topics of her artwork. Not only that, but when she thinks of you, the fist image which comes to mind is a pleasant one. Whenever my wife and I go out for an evening (ummm...right in 2009), we are very straightforward about telling the kids we need some time not being parents. A popcorn and a movie seems to cure them of heartsickness pretty quickly:)
Thanks Kenny. That's a lovely way of looking at it.
Kids are so funny! Wonder what her picture would like if she drew you now? Hehehe
That sounds ominous Becky Jane. Now you've got me worried!
