Don't call me, if you need me, just email me

I don't like people phoning me. I'm an email kind of girl.

With emails I get the chance to gather my thoughts, and come across as an intelligent human being. Catch me on the phone, and I look like a blabbering fool, agreeing to things I don't wanna do, and putting my foot in mouth.

Once I was kind of distracted when the phone rang, and when I picked it up I announced myself by saying: 'Bless us Oh Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.'

I was so embarassed by my own words, I slammed the phone down immediately, and then I changed my number.

So email it is, for me!

  1. I'm the same way. E-mails give me time to decide if I really want to do something or not. Plus I don't have to drop everything and run for the phone.

  2. Ha! Embarrassing but I don't think you needed to change your number!! :) I find email more convenient, but when you get into the 10 messages back and forth, we should have just talked on the phone! Likewise, leaving voicemails back & forth when we could have answered the question in 2 emails! Coming from vb - nice to meet you!

    1. That's what I'm talking about! That's the great thing about email: you can make it júst right. And still, people often don't get it...

  4. I guess I am kind of old fashioned. I prefer the phone over email or text. Sometimes the tone can come across wrong in an email I find, although having things in writing is probably quite handy.

  5. lol! Really??? Too funny!
I like all modes of communication - as long as I am in touch with humans I am happy. I especially love receiving snail mail. It's pretty exciting to get something other than junk mail and bills.

  6. I also like email, but texting is my preferred method of communication these days. I talk to people all day long in my job, so I need a break when the day is done. Plus, with texting, it feels like instant gratification..and who doesn't like that? :)
