Are you scared?
To fan the smouldering embers of our relationship, my husband and I like to pretend we're going to the movies. Of course we don't really go, because that would mean hiring a babysitter, but every Saturday night we stretch out on the couch armed with big bags of chips. Last Saturday we rented Paranormal Activity,...
A positive way to look at January
According to T.S. Elliot April is the cruellest month. But for a lot of people, January gives April a run for its money! January: bleak, grey and empty Because January is the month that has Blue Monday in it. It's also the month when Winter has only just begun, and Spring is still far away....
The art of travel: Wherever you go, there you are... Again!
I don't like to travel. In fact I never ever go on vacation. I prefer to stay home. And Alain de Botton perfect sums up why in his book The art of travel. The Art of travel Alain de Botton describes his vacation on an island, where he makes a startling discovery: 'A momentous...
Our wedding anniversary: my wedding dress still fits!
Today is my husband's and mine 26th wedding anniversary! As I was doing my daily run, I got the idea to put on my wedding dress once again. My wedding dress still fits I'd forgotten my wedding dress had this big petticoat underneath it, and how voluminous it was. But it still fit! When I...
Queen of the mundane
With five kids I don't need to go on a rollercoaster to get my fix of ups and downs. Even without world travel, concerts, barbecues with friends, big birthday parties, my body is filled with all the adrenaline I need. Which is probably why I love it when things are Normal. Normal as in the...
How does the heat affect you?
I'm sorry to say that the current tropical temperatures don't do my personality any favors... Normally I'm friendly and courteous. But when it's tropical hot I feel this overwhelming urge to slap people in their face. Like when they're taking up all of the aisle space in the supermarket. Or when they're dawdling. How the...
This is too funny, love the denied stamp and that you can't have me time. I love my me time for making jewelry, snuggling with cats and eating chocolates.

I have to say, as the little ones get older, you won't need to pull that stamp out as much. Me time get easier to have. Happy Easter. And sneak a chocolate bunny from a basket and slip away without anyone looking and enjoy.

I don't want to believe it's overrated Crystal. I think it's as important as oxygen.
Thanks! You're giving me hope : )
I'd trade ME time for a NAP any day. Or does that fall under the me time category? Naps are a must-have, because I NEVER get enough sleep. The rest is gravy.
For me a nap is indeed the same thing : )
