Do you know that feeling. That feeling that you're just fed up with everyting. And all you want to do is curl up with a blanket on the couch and watch your favorite comfort tv?
The good thing about comfort tv is that it doesn't make you fat like comfort food does. You can watch comfort tv and escape for a few hours.
I've made a list of my 10 favorite comfort tv series.
10 series to watch for comfort!
1. Gilmore Girls
Every time I watch Gilmore Girls it makes me want to move to Stars Hollow. I love that village!
2. Friends
No matter what happens, they'll always be... friends!
3. Downton Abbey
Downton Abbey is a world where you ring for your butler if you feel like having a coffee, and wearing the right dress at the right time is of the utmost importance. My favorite character is lady Grantham. Her oneliners are legendary.
4. The Little house on the prairie
I dare you to watch the first scene in the video underneath and not go: 'Awwww!' It's the oldest series in this top 10, but everytime I see Laura Ingalls stumbling through the prairie I understand how the simple life can be a happy life.
5. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Even though the storyline isn't very 'deep,' this series is comforting because it looks beautiful and the music is great.
6. The Good Place: is there life after death?
There is in The Good Place. This series is kind of strange, and they make fun of all that makes us human. Which is comforting because it makes you realize: 'Hey, we're all just trying to do the best we can.'
7. Ally McBeale
Remember Ally McBeale? The laywer whose skirts kept getting shorter and shorter? It's beautiful to watch and the music is lovely.
8. Bob Ross
Ah, Bob Ross. He paints. Just listening to his voice calms the nerves. My favorite part in this video is where he says: 'Let's go crazy, what the heck.' And then he takes a 2 inch brush! Be still be heart. Even I don't mind stepping out of my comfort zone like that.
9. Anne of Green Gables
Anne of Green Gables is comforting because it's a joy to look at, and it reminds you of times gone by.
10. The Letdown
This series is about moms, their spouses and how they're trying to cope with everyday life. It's comforting because it's so relatable. When you watch The Letdown, you know: 'I'm not the only one who's struggling.' And that's comforting to know.
Summing up
This list of comfort tv is of course not complete. But hey, it's a top 10 so I had to make choices.

My youngest daughter needed some new bras, so I took her shopping. As she was trying on a red bra the sales lady said to me: 'You can wear a red bra underneath a white shirt! It won't shine through at all.' You shouldn't argue with crazy people I nodded obediently, but I thought: 'Yeah...
I like my kitchenware where I can see it. Especially if I really like it. Like my green enamal coffee pot. So I put it on a tree branch. I've got a cup and saucer ready too And if you want to have a cup of coffee, there's a cup and saucer in a nearby...
Last week my husband did the grocery shopping. And he came home with some very special toilet paper he bought across the border! In Germany of all places. It's covered with happy reindeer on skates. But what I love most about it is the name of the brand: 'Happy End'. I like the pun! What...
Even though times are tough, they're also kind of interesting. It's like the world has come to a standstill. And even though that's worrying, I also feel it's a chance for all of us to stop and think. To reconsider the way we're doing things. And ask ourselves: Is there maybe another, a better way?...
I'm not a big fan of our front door. I think it's boring. But because there are no windows when you step inside our hallway, there are not a lot of options on improving our front door. We need the glass in our front door to shed some light into the darkness. Front door wreath:...
