Couple's shopping and parenting
I was walking through the aisles of our local Walmart, looking for things I didn't know I needed, when I crossed paths with a German family. You can look, but please don't touch! The mom was totally engrossed in all the merchandise, leaving the dad to do the parenting. As they walked by lots of...
A fight waiting to happen
Some fights are just waiting to happen. Yesterday evening, hubby and I were watching Medium and Ghost Whisperer. And we got into this deep, and meaningful discussion about which one was the better series. Hubby felt compelled to share I had a lot more in common with Allison in Medium, than with Melinda from Ghost...
Married for 25 years + the secret to a happy marriage
I can hardly believe it. I've been married for 25 years already! The secret to a happy marriage You know what? I don't know the secret to a happy marriage. But along the way I've learned some things. Like Rod MdKuen sang: 'I've been going a long time now along the way I've learned some...
And when I dream, I dream of you...
During breakfast hubby told me in an indignant tone of voice, he'd dreamt he wanted to divorce me. Apparently, in his dream, I had abused his absence to decorate our house, with wall to wall Laura Ashley wallpaper. A grain of truth As with most dreams, there may have been a small grain of truth...
I could use some Amazing Grace
You know those songs that get stuck in your head, and no matter how hard you try to get rid of them they just won't leave you alone? I suffered from just that phenomenon, while we were heading for a visit to my parents in law. Amazing grace stuck in my head 'I keep hearing...
Bird watching
Since I read Sally Hinchcliffe's exciting thriller about birdwatching, Out of a clear sky, I like to think of myself as a bit of a birdwatcher! So when I looked out the living room window, and spotted a rather exotic looking bird perching in the apple tree, my heart skipped a few beats in excitement!...
Awww, sounds like a lovely photo. Don't be saddened by her comment, martial relationships change as children come along. The love is strong, dutiful and romantic but not as young love. I believe children know can see love and know it, in all its forms :0)
I agree that relationships change but it still can be strong and romantic if we work at it.
At least the two of you are still the topics of her artwork. Not only that, but when she thinks of you, the fist image which comes to mind is a pleasant one. Whenever my wife and I go out for an evening (ummm...right in 2009), we are very straightforward about telling the kids we need some time not being parents. A popcorn and a movie seems to cure them of heartsickness pretty quickly:)
Thanks Kenny. That's a lovely way of looking at it.
Kids are so funny! Wonder what her picture would like if she drew you now? Hehehe
That sounds ominous Becky Jane. Now you've got me worried!
