Couple's shopping and parenting
I was walking through the aisles of our local Walmart, looking for things I didn't know I needed, when I crossed paths with a German family. You can look, but please don't touch! The mom was totally engrossed in all the merchandise, leaving the dad to do the parenting. As they walked by lots of...
Nutter
Lately when my husband comes home from work, there's this spring in his step. And as soon as he enters the house, he runs right past me, into the garden looking for his new love: Walnuts. Big nuts, small nuts and medium sized nuts. He loves them all. What if... The nuts are a gift...
Don't rock the boat hubby!
I like to think of our family as a little ship! Everyone has their own place on the ship, and together we sail through life. But then Summer Vacation comes along, shaking things up. The kids have to adjust to the endless free time, and I have to adjust to having absolutely no peace! I...
The joke is on hubby
Hubby slipped on the stairs in the train station, while trying to race the other travelers for the exit. Obviously this is not without risk, because he wears Birkenstocks come rain, snow, icy sleet, hail or shine. Hence he is now sporting an eye decorated with all kinds of unfashionable colours. Every day he studies...
Dancing with my husband
Life can get busy. And sometimes you kinda get lost in the shuffle. Dance lessons to reconnect And lose sight of your husband. Which is why my hubby and I decided to take up ballroom dancing. Ever Sunday evening, for the last year and a half we go dancing. We hold each other as we...
Keep your germs away from me!
I hate catching a cold. But sometimes the germs and viruses sneak into our home like a Trojan horse. In the form of my husband for example! Keep your distance! When my husband came home from work last Friday, coughing and sniffling pathetically, I told him to keep his distance! I even did that gesture....
Awww, sounds like a lovely photo. Don't be saddened by her comment, martial relationships change as children come along. The love is strong, dutiful and romantic but not as young love. I believe children know can see love and know it, in all its forms :0)
I agree that relationships change but it still can be strong and romantic if we work at it.
At least the two of you are still the topics of her artwork. Not only that, but when she thinks of you, the fist image which comes to mind is a pleasant one. Whenever my wife and I go out for an evening (ummm...right in 2009), we are very straightforward about telling the kids we need some time not being parents. A popcorn and a movie seems to cure them of heartsickness pretty quickly:)
Thanks Kenny. That's a lovely way of looking at it.
Kids are so funny! Wonder what her picture would like if she drew you now? Hehehe
That sounds ominous Becky Jane. Now you've got me worried!
