Low maintenance woman!
I'm very low maintenance, you know!' I like to tell my husband. 'I don't desire expensive holidays or expensive clothes. Just give me a Big Mac or two, or three, or maybe four, and I'm a happy woman.' You're very lucky with me as your wife And to make sure he gets my drift, I...
Free relationship advice
I love old fashioned courtesy. I love a man who takes off his hat when he greets a woman, who opens the door for her, and who gets up from his chair when his wife leaves the table. But if I can't have that, I at least want a man who doesn't pass gas when...
30th Wedding Anniversary: then and now
How is this possible? Am I really married for as long as 30 years? 30th wedding anniversary When I look at our wedding picture, we look so young. I can't help but think: 'Yeah you're smiling now, but you don't know what lies ahead!' And then I think of losing our daughter Lucy..... But...
My own psycho shower scene
It was early morning. I was in the shower enjoying some quiet time. Feeling the warm water cascading down my body, cherishing the feeling of being alone. No one else around. Then suddenly I heard that telltale sound of a door opening, followed by an icy cold swish of air. Then: 'Hiiiiiii honey. Are you...
Bouquet of flowers or work in disguise?
I love getting presents. But only presents that don't require any action on my part, otherwise they're just work in disguise. So when hubby comes home, brandishing a big bouquet of flowers, I tell him with appropriate gratitude: Thank you honey. Now put them in a vase please.' Then hubby throws them into the sink...
Sleepwalking
Last night I had a terrible nightmare, about the end of the world. This big tsunami swept over our house and took everything with it. And I remember being angry with God because obviously, he hadn't kept up his end of his bargain with Noah. Nightmare As if that wasn't bad enough, I then dreamt...
Awww, sounds like a lovely photo. Don't be saddened by her comment, martial relationships change as children come along. The love is strong, dutiful and romantic but not as young love. I believe children know can see love and know it, in all its forms :0)
I agree that relationships change but it still can be strong and romantic if we work at it.
At least the two of you are still the topics of her artwork. Not only that, but when she thinks of you, the fist image which comes to mind is a pleasant one. Whenever my wife and I go out for an evening (ummm...right in 2009), we are very straightforward about telling the kids we need some time not being parents. A popcorn and a movie seems to cure them of heartsickness pretty quickly:)
Thanks Kenny. That's a lovely way of looking at it.
Kids are so funny! Wonder what her picture would like if she drew you now? Hehehe
That sounds ominous Becky Jane. Now you've got me worried!
