Wanna feel appreciated? Move house!
Moving house turns out to be a great way to get some much needed appreciation pré-posthumously! My two youngest sons came home from their last day at school, wearing white t-shirts that carried the names of all their classmates. Real tearjerker But the real tearjerker turned out be this little booklet the class had made...
Queen of the mundane
With five kids I don't need to go on a rollercoaster to get my fix of ups and downs. Even without world travel, concerts, barbecues with friends, big birthday parties, my body is filled with all the adrenaline I need. Which is probably why I love it when things are Normal. Normal as in the...
A good deed
'Try to do something nice for someone else every day!' I always tell my children. Sometimes you have to wait until an opportunity to do something good presents itself. And this weekend a lovely chance fell right into my lap. Childhood memories Someone had read one of my posts about children's bibles. She'd recognized one...
Coloring books for grown ups
I've often tried to meditate. But as soon as I sit down, my mind starts running around. I know that's to be expected, and that you just have to stick with it. But somehow the sense of peace and calm I try to accomplish by meditating always eludes me. Then I heard coloring counts as...
Could I live in the countryside without internet?
One of the 'perks' of living in the country is that I have no easy access to shops. That should help my bank account stay healthy! But there's a loophole, and it's called the internet. Online shopping in the country While looking at the beautiful countryside from why window, I type: 'amazon.com' and voila, lots...

This is too funny, love the denied stamp and that you can't have me time. I love my me time for making jewelry, snuggling with cats and eating chocolates.

As a mom, I know this feeling.
Yes, me time is important!
I hope so too!
I have to say, as the little ones get older, you won't need to pull that stamp out as much. Me time get easier to have. Happy Easter. And sneak a chocolate bunny from a basket and slip away without anyone looking and enjoy.

I don't want to believe it's overrated Crystal. I think it's as important as oxygen.
Thanks! You're giving me hope : )
I'd trade ME time for a NAP any day. Or does that fall under the me time category? Naps are a must-have, because I NEVER get enough sleep. The rest is gravy.
For me a nap is indeed the same thing : )
